Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Our Prococols

A mask is REQUIRED to be worn when entering Redeemer, at which time your temperature will be checked. If you pass the check, Redeemer WILL NOT REQUIRE that a mask be worn inside the church. However, if you have NOT been FULLY VACCINATED, or if you have a condition that would make you more susceptible to infection, Redeemer RECOMMENDS that you continue to follow CDC guidelines and wear a mask. Redeemer will continue to respect social distancing guidelines for seating and communion.

The Pastor will wear his mask when he’s around others, but he won’t wear a mask while up front and/or at the altar (preaching, reading, praying, etc.), when he’s away from the congregation.

Distribution of the Sacrament

During the Lord’s Supper, the body and blood of Christ is place on a table at the front of the altar steps. The elements are in the serving trays, with a cup and wafer placed next to each other, with each set of elements distanced from each other. The Pastor will be wearing his mask at this time.

The congregation will come up the center aisle in single file and socially distanced (there is tape on the carpet to mark the distance). Then each person comes up, takes the elements at the direction of the Pastor, and is dismissed with a blessing. When leaving, go down one of the side aisles.

Please continue to pray that a cessation of this disease occurs, pray for your healthcare professionals and listen to their advice, and pray also for first responders, government officials, your families and neighbors.

The revised mask guidelines published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
