When families arrive at the Transitional Living and Learning Center (TLLC), they are often at the lowest point in their lives. They have lost jobs, suffered medical crises, or experienced other devastating circumstances. They have had to admit they need help in caring for their families, and many have lost hope.

When they enter their hotel room-sized accommodation, families see durable bunk beds and empty wardrobes. With help from generous people like you, they also see what we like to call a “Welcome Basket,” a set of basic household items like cleaning supplies, linens and kitchen items that everyone needs to care for their families. For the homeless families at TLLC, however, the items are more than that. They are a sign of love, a gift of caring, and, most of all, a symbol of hope for a better future.

Items that are needed:

  1. Brooms
  2. Mops
  3. All-purpose cleaner
  4. Bleach
  5. Pots and pans
  6. Towels
  7. 3-tier plastic storage containers
  8. Full size sheets
  9. Twin size sheets
  10. Dish soap
Please deliver items to SAMMExpress Donation Station, 910 Oblate Drive. Our phone number is 210-321-5678.
