    He’s
    Oour
    Perfect
    Example

    Psalm 33

    1 Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous;
    it is fitting for the upright to praise him.
    2 Praise the Lord with the harp;
    make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
    3 Sing to him a new song;
    play skillfully, and shout for joy.

    4 For the word of the Lord is right and true;
    he is faithful in all he does.
    5 The Lord loves righteousness and justice;
    the earth is full of his unfailing love.

    6 By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
    their starry host by the breath of his mouth.
    7 He gathers the waters of the sea into jars;
    he puts the deep into storehouses.
    8 Let all the earth fear the Lord;
    let all the people of the world revere him.
    9 For he spoke, and it came to be;
    he commanded, and it stood firm.

    10 The Lord foils the plans of the nations;
    he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
    11 But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever,
    the purposes of his heart through all generations.

    12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
    the people he chose for his inheritance.
    13 From heaven the Lord looks down
    and sees all mankind;
    14 from his dwelling place he watches
    all who live on earth —
    15 he who forms the hearts of all,
    who considers everything they do.

    16 No king is saved by the size of his army;
    no warrior escapes by his great strength.
    17 A horse is a vain hope for deliverance;
    despite all its great strength it cannot save.
    18 But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
    on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
    19 to deliver them from death
    and keep them alive in famine.

    20 We wait in hope for the Lord;
    he is our help and our shield.
    21 In him our hearts rejoice,
    for we trust in his holy name.
    22 May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
    even as we put our hope in you.”

    Luke 18:35-43

    “As he drew near to Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. And hearing a crowd going by, he inquired what this meant. They told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.” And he cried out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” And those who were in front rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” And Jesus stopped and commanded him to be brought to him. And when he came near, he asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” He said, “Lord, let me recover my sight.” And Jesus said to him, “Recover your sight; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.”

    October 31, 1517 = First theses of 95
    “When our Lord and Master Jesus Christ said, ‘Repent’ [Mark 1:14-15; Matthew 4:17], He willed the entire life of believers to be one of repentance.”

    Mark 1:14-15
    14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent, and believe the gospel.”

    Luke 2:41-47
    41 Every year Jesus’ parents went to Jerusalem for the Festival of the Passover. 42 When He was twelve years old, they went up to the festival, according to the custom. 43 After the festival was over, while His parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it. 44 Thinking He was in their company, they travelled on for a day. Then they began looking for Him among their relatives and friends. 45 When they did not find Him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for Him. 46 After three days they found Him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47 Everyone who heard Him was amazed at His understanding and His answers.”

    2 Timothy 3:14-17
    14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

    1 Peter 2:2-5
    2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, 3 now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. 4 As you come to him, the living Stone — rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him — 5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”

    2 Peter 3:18 18
    18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.”

    Colossians 1:9-10
    9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God …”

    Philippians 1:9-11
    9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; 10 that ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; 11 being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.”

    Romans 12:2
    2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

    Acts 28:28-30 28
    28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it. 29 And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves. 30 And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him …”
