    Comparing our broken world today with COVID-19 and other issues to Charles Dickens book, “A Christmas Carol” we use scripture promises from the “Spirit of Christmas Past”; Old Testament writings, and the “Spirit of Christmas Present” in the New Testament story of the birth of Jesus and how the church is to relate to one another, and the “Spirit of Christmas Future” in the epistle writings of the New Testament that point us to a future with God in heaven.

    Keys unlock things so that what is needed to perform or function is released. God provided a hope chest of promise throughout the Old Testament. That hope chest was opened in the New Testament Christmas story of the birth of our Saviour.

    As you a child of God have the gospel key may you use it to unlock the treasure of Jesus into another person’s life.

    The world is experiencing frontline fatigue because of Covid-19. Even people who don’t have the infection are fatigued by the constant demands to stay safe. We have no normal life right now. But God brings the gospel of peace through His Word; the life of an ever-living Saviour who gifts us an overcoming faith. Our daily immersion in His Word to pray, praise and give thanks equip us to meet the daily challenges.
